I've Just Noticed Something About The "Remember The Wife Of Lot" Video
by pale.emperor inmaybe you guys got on to this right away, but i've just noticed something about the remember the wife of lot video.. we all know the scene where the judgmental jw dad gives that disapproving look to the girl who has lesbian parents:.
this look actually appears again throughout the video - but on other jws.
in the scene where the new brother is out in service with the former co. look at the new brothers reaction to when a "worldly" person knows the former co from work:.

Scheduling Problems
by compound complex ingreetings, orderly and punctual fellow posters:.
becoming more and more forgetful, i have to write down all my daily tasks and obligations: put out tony's garbage can, on sunday night; feed rover at 3:30 p.m., on monday; look out my studio window between eleven and one o'clock, on thursday, to sign for a parcel, from ups, for my neighbor.. i write out all my daily jobs and appointments on my desk calendar, sticky notes (posted on my door and truck dash), and in my pocket calendar, all in ink.
i do not own -- what do you call them?

The nose knows, stillin.
OUTLAW: Was it in the film Bruce Almighty where J.C. played God and used post-it notes?!?!?!?
Appreciate your comments. Would my using a pencil help?

Greetings, Orderly and Punctual Fellow Posters:
Becoming more and more forgetful, I have to write down all my daily tasks and obligations: Put out Tony's garbage can, on Sunday night; feed Rover at 3:30 p.m., on Monday; look out my studio window between eleven and one o'clock, on Thursday, to sign for a parcel, from UPS, for my neighbor.
I write out all my daily jobs and appointments on my desk calendar, sticky notes (posted on my door and truck dash), and in my pocket calendar, all in ink. I do not own -- what do you call them? -- electronic planners, whatever . . .
Well, this morning I was thrown for a loop. A client called early and asked that I come over at 10:30 a.m., rather than at the originally scheduled 12:00. I said yes and rang off. Moments later, I realized that my notations, etched indelibly in ink on various snatches of paper, were null and void. I had to find a way to manage that earlier promised change of appointment and not blow my cool and an outward appearance of being in control. More importantly, I could not make erasures of nor draw lines through already written out appointments.
How do you handle your day-to-day planning and, if needed, adjust to sudden and unexpected changes to your calendar?
I don't know if I'll get through my day if anyone else calls and changes his appointment.

Dealing with Elderly Parents Who Still Believe the jw Religion is the truth
by lancelink ini left the religion back in 2008 right after my mother died,( the total lack of natural love/ affection was the final straw for me).. but my dad has become more and more focused on doing the wt bidding.. it just amazes me how he gushes on and on about the last days, his new bible studies, and meeting parts .
but yet he makes no effort to have any type of relationship with his grandkids, there are 5 of them , non are witnesses.
they are the children from several different sisters of mine, and myself.. so how do you deal with the witness stuff always being presented in conversations?.

It's always a big deal when old folks study with the Witnesses, then realize their lifetime religion is false; what's the result? They "come into the Truth." Makes the JW headlines.
What about us who have become old timers and realize the same, but regarding "the Truth" -- the truth about the Truth?
That's where I am; my entire family followed me into the JW faith 50 years ago. Nieces and nephews who never came into the fold, well, we can talk freely. I'm circumspect and respectful toward my JW siblings and, somehow, we are very close.
It just about did me in when I saw a photo of my grandchild on Facebook in cap and gown. I'm certain that 99% of those attending the commencement exercises were JWs in good standing. Obviously, I was not contacted. Gifts, letters, e-mails, phone messages go unacknowledged.
Seeing all my JW kids and longtime friends on Facebook became too much. I get it; why should they include me in their activities when it was I who abandoned them?
And to think, I was one of those eaten up with the zeal for Jehovah. I wanted to save people. Now, here I am, not allowed time with my grandchildren.
I've been bitten in my proverbial butt.

Mom was a bag lady, and her son . . .
by compound complex inis a bag man.. i take bags with me everywhere: paper and canvas shopping bags, designer sacs, wine-tote bags, and so forth.
there is so much to transport, drop off, and new stuff to bring to my digs.
an assortment awaits me in the foyer as i head out to do some long-postponed and needed acquisition.

Just sent this link to a former Bethelite who served time with me.
It's too good to forget, especially with regard to that new approach at the door.
